Timeline
• 2006 – Connor remembers being young and watching NASCAR races with family on Sundays, but it was the release of the movie Cars in 2006 that truly sparked a passion for racing. From that moment on, Connor was determined to become a racing driver—one way or another.
• 2019 – After years of patience, the dream started to take shape. In February of 2019, Connor's family found a car to convert into a front-wheel-drive dirt track race car—a 2005 Dodge Neon. They got to work, and as the oldest sibling, Connor’s brother, who shared his passion for racing entered his first race in August. While Connor did not get to get behind the wheel, he saw it as one step closer to becoming a driver and gained crucial knowledge of how a small race team works.
• 2021 – Connor attended his first road course race and got a closer look at a proper GT3 race car. This proved as another crucial point in his racing journey. First, Connor just wanted a chance to race a car. This event taught him that he wanted to go down the road course racing route.
• 2022 – Connor was finally handed the keys to the Neon and got his chance to start racing at the local dirt track. However, after 2 races, the track shut down and put a halt to the season.
• 2024 – Connor worked almost a full-time job while attending a community college and during this time was able to save up to attend a 3-day F4 racing school at Road Atlanta. His first time getting to be on a road course. Again, the thrill of the event solidified his desire to become a full- time driver.
In 2024, Connor had the chance to race the Dodge Neon two more times at a larger track. However, the car was no longer competitive—it was outdated, had mechanical issues, and the rules prevented any modifications for speed. There was simply no way to keep up with the VTEC-powered competition without a new car. Recognizing this, the Henry family agreed it was time to retire the car. After years of racing and memories, it would now live on as a family heirloom.
• 2025 - A building year for Connor. He bought a 1990 Spec Miata to fix up and get ready to compete at the club level of road course racing in 2026. Connor also competed in the PT Autosport Aspiring Driver Shootout making it all the way to the Round of 8 getting the chance to compete at New Jersey Motorsports Park in a Ginetta G56 GTA. Even though he came short of the victory, Connor took home lessons learned and experience gained.
